Other types of professionals
who may be invited Host area sponsors may
sometimes choose to invite professional service providers to their Tour
events who do not specialize in business location consulting services, but
whose client work with investment projects in their region is relevant to
this specialty.
Examples may include logistics consultants, corporate real
estate brokers, architects, engineers, industrial and office park developers
or construction firms, lawyers, incentives consultants, tax advisors and
other specialists. We can therefore highlight the experience of these
participants as appropriate according to their primary specialty, but
distinguish their work from our focus on location consultants as listed
above. |
Tour event planning suggestions
We also receive feedback from consultants about
"familiarization tours" to which they have been invited in the past, or in
which they have participated. We take their views into consideration
and consult them about their interests when planning future Tour events.
Host sponsors should recognize that some of these
consultants frequently compete for the same clients. Many have also
worked together in the past. Some get along well with their peers, and
others do not. Small events - or even individualized visits - can
therefore sometimes be more productive for everyone involved than large
events. |
|
We invite respected
professionals selectively
It generally should not be in the interest of Sponsors to
have individuals visit unless there is some good reason which makes it worth
their mutual time, effort, and cost to organize and actively participate in a
useful program. For example, a disinterested or irrelevant visitor on
a traditional familiarization tour or at a hospitality event may not make a
good impression on the local supporters of the Sponsor organization.
Large events also may not be as productive for relationship development as
smaller, more selective ones. |
The Professionals also make selective commitments
The mix of participants in each Tour event will be more
selective than the full list of all professionals who might be invited to
traditional familiarization tour or hospitality events.
Sponsor areas can choose to invite whoever they please, but
our goal is to help attract very relevant professionals who will take a a
serious interest in their presentations, as they would be expected to do if
visiting with a client when the area is "on the short list". |
|
Relationship Disclosure / Disclaimer
Participation in the Professional Site Selection Tour does
not involve any express or implied warranty by such participants about our
services, nor by us about theirs. This is an independent service to
help organize useful visits by professional business advisors to the sponsor
areas.
If we have any working relationship such as to perform marketing work
directly on behalf of the professional participants or Sponsor areas, these
are openly disclosed in the Service Profiles or Area Profiles which
summarize their capabilities. |
We welcome suggestions, feedback, and
Sponsors If you
know professional business advisors who you think should be invited to
participate in the Tour, or have comments about the participants from
experience working with them, please contact
Bruce Donnelly at 847-304-4655 to discuss your suggestions. |
