The above websites were
included in the Event Search initially to demonstrate the process.
Other websites may be added in the future according to
feedback from the corporate executives, professional business advisors, and
sponsors we serve about what they would like to search this way, because
this tool is designed for their convenience.
Note that we do not reproduce the copyrighted material of
such event organizers or associations. We just make it easier for the executives and
professionals we serve to use Google's intuitive site search capabilities to
quickly find whatever they may be seeking at the time in a globally
consistent way, despite the inconsistent design of all such websites and
their
internal site search tools.
Google may not index all pages of such events or associations
because of their website design choices. For example, information
which requires a registration process to access, or which requires a
database search through a query form, is generally difficult to index.
It is also possible for webmasters to specify that some pages should not be
indexed by search engines. Some event organizers also create new
registration websites repeatedly, or soon delete content related to
sponsors, exhibitors, or attendees at past events. |
The basic
premise behind our GUIDE services (Globally Uniform Investment Data &
Experience), such as Area Profiles, Area Surveys, Area Reports and other
research, is to provide executive summary information which becomes a
convenient search path to quickly discover when a potential business
location may be relevant to the needs of a project.
The ability to conveniently search the websites of
participating organizations complements this "high level" or "long list"
exploratory search work with the ability to drill down for more details
while working "on the short list" selection process.
That includes the capability to not only find basic
factual data attributes about the area, such as demographic statistics or
directories of available properties, but also to quickly search through
apparently relevant websites for information to address specific project
interests, including the recent experience of other investors in the area or
business clusters.
Our Invest USA, Invest in Europe, and global
Contacts directories (geographic regions and professional
specialties) already make it easy to find relevant websites and follow
whatever navigational structure and search options they may offer to present
information about their areas or services. These custom Search
features, however, make it fast and easy to use Google's intuitive process
to find whatever relevant content has been indexed.

As this website develops, it will be easy for visitors to
search this website for content relevant to their interests, which will then
link out to other websites for more details. Our
executive summary presentations (Surveys, Profiles, Reports and other GUIDE
content) create search paths on this website as well as on
www.gdi-solutions.com to find and
contact potentially relevant business locations and services quickly and
easily, but we have also provided the flexibility to search specific
websites directly for anything.
This makes it easy to search for a "long list" of relevant
business locations or services, and then drill down "on the short list"
through the search tool for specific details of interest. |

Our Event Recall
service is at
http://www.gdi-solutions.com/areas/events/event_recall.htm
This makes it easy
to find which areas target particular industries or events in their
marketing work, which can help executives and advisors to discover their
potential relevance through the Search process, just as Area Profile or Area
Survey content and other executive summary information on our websites can
highlight when a business location may be a logical candidate to be "on
the short list" for a project.
Our similar Ad
Recall service selectively highlights known advertisers. By including
the text of their ads, this makes it easy to find when they may be relevant
through the Search tool

This is a new feature, and will be updated as we confirm who
may participate in 2006 Tour events or our
Meeting Point service to pre-schedule
introductory meetings at other events. The Meeting
Point service may be helpful to economic development organizations and
professional service providers (not just location consultants) which sponsor
or have exhibits or hospitality events at trade shows, professional
association meetings, or other events.
Meeting Point provides an efficient process to promote and
pre-schedule introductory B2B meetings as a shared service at such events.
Instead of trying to arrange meetings exclusively on behalf of one
organization, which can be quite costly, this can make it easier to develop
introductory meetings for a selective group of participants at such events. |
Tips about using these custom site search features
Not all pages on a website may be indexed. This depends
on a variety of website design factors and search engine processes.
The site search tools provided by the respective websites may
be more comprehensive if they provide access to content which Google does
not index, or very recent content which Google may not have crawled yet.
Since these Google results are the same as those which are available in a
general Google Search of the World Wide Web - but limited to the content of
a specific site - this can also be helpful to test how Google is finding
results for such a site, and how the results of interest would appear to
Google Search users. |
